History of the Open Championship

From Willie Park Sr.'s victory in 1860 to Cameron Smith hoisting the Claret Jug in 2022, the Open Championship has been scene of incredible elation and crushing defeats. Often referred to as The British Open or simply The Open, the tournament's venues capture the essence of the game and its traditions. If you are a golf fan or looking for something special for the golfer in your life, this graphic is for you.
This print highlights the winners and the fourteen courses that have hosted the tournament since its inception in 1860. The upper section of the graphic includes the course names, the years each course held the Open, the winners and scores as well as commentary on significant events that shaped the tournament or the courses.
